     Paul A. Steele - President and CEO                        

Paul Steele is the CEO and President of Advocate Consulting Group, Inc. (Benefit Firm), Advocate Risk Management Services, Inc. (P&C Firm) and Client Payroll Services, LLC. (Payroll, HR, and Background Firm). He has over 20 years of experience in insurance and employee benefits consulting. His experience includes nine years in marketing with one of the largest health maintenance organizations in the country and he has also served as the marketing director for one of the largest life and dental carriers in the country. His area of special expertise is Operations and Executive. He currently holds the following licenses: 220 Property & Casualty General Lines and 218 Life & Health.

Paul Steele graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa at the top of his class with a degree in Business Administration. Paul was an outstanding wrestler in college and now enjoys sharing the skills he learned with the young men in his community as a part-time wrestling coach for Land O’ Lakes High School. He is a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, a board member of seven successful firms, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Kappa Sigma, and President of ACG. His hobbies include golf, fishing, and water skiing. He is passionate about his local teams which include Bucs, Rays, and Lightning. Paul resides in the Tampa Bay area with his wife Jodi and their children Reagan, Camryn and Paul.

     John G. Bruns - Vice President and COO               
John G. Bruns is the COO and Vice President of Advocate Consulting Group, Inc. (Benefit Firm), Advocate Risk Management Services, Inc. (P&C Firm) and
Client Payroll Services, LLC. (Payroll, HR, and Background Firm). John is an accomplished benefits professional with over 30 years experience in employee benefits consulting. Immediately prior to Advocate Consulting Group, John gained extensive experience in the large employer market while working as a Senior Consultant for over 10 years at one of the largest benefits consulting firms in the Southeastern United States.

In today’s volatile marketplace, John has always taken continuous education classes not only to stay current in today’s market, but also to stay on top of the ever increasingly challenging future in group healthcare. His expertise is in group medical, dental, disability, and life insurance products. His expertise includes self-funded benefits, fully funded and managed care programs and he is skilled at negotiating favorable rates and terms on behalf of his clients. His experience includes working with clients of all sizes ranging from small private employers to large public employers. John prides himself with having a “hands-on” approach when solving healthcare issues and by proactively providing a wide range of value-added services to his clients at no additional cost. John sits on several Medical Carriers Broker Advisory Boards giving insight and input from the employers’ perspectives ranging from plan designs to customer service issues and network development.

John earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration at Hillsborough Community College, Tampa, Florida after serving in the United States Navy. He went on to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida to play basketball on a full scholarship. He is past Vice-President and was on the Board of Directors for many years for NAHU local Chapter, Tampa Bay Association of Health Underwriters. He is an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and coached the school’s Varsity basketball team to many championships. John resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife Susan of 32 years. They enjoy spending time with their grandson Kaleb, from their son Jason. Their daughter Katelyn will graduate from Florida State University next year.

     Patrick McLaughlin - Director                                
Patrick McLaughlin joined Advocate Consulting Group in 2008 after a 17 year career in the Restaurant Industry. As a Franchisee and Owner of several major Florida based Restaurant concepts he has taken his business operations experience and applied it to the Insurance Industry.

Patrick’s specialty is consulting business owners through the complicated web of Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty products. His real world experience allows him to understand the employer’s needs and their operational exposures.

Patrick McLaughlin graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Marketing. He now lives in Tampa with his wife Abby and two daughters.
